CCRIF SPC is pleased to participate in the discussion on risk management for sustainable tourism. We know today that the sustainability of this sector is being challenged – not only by other competing sectors but also by global issues such as climate change.
The CCRIF model and the parametric products that we sell represent an innovative risk transfer option, which can be included in disaster risk management strategies for countries vulnerable to hurricanes, earthquakes, excess rainfall and other natural hazards, and can be a critical component of a country’s climate change adaptation strategy for sectors such as tourism.
