Biography

Chris McNair is a Programme Specialist with responsibility for Business Development at the CARICOM Development Fund (CDF). He has spent most of his professional life in the private sector with a focus on marketing and more specifically brand development. Having worked at such companies as Nestle and J.

Wray & Nephew (makers of Appleton Jamaica Rum), where he was the head of Marketing, Chris has a passion for developing and taking new products to market. However, in the last ten years he has found his calling in working with and helping small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and has led the development of numerous programmes aimed at supporting the growth of the SME Sector in the region. One such programme is the Caribbean Business Angel Network (CBAN), developed during his time at the Caribbean Export Development Agency.

Chris McNair has a B.Sc. in Economics from the University of the West Indies and an MBA in Marketing and Finance from the University of Colorado (USA). He also holds a Diploma from the University of New Orleans in Project Management and is a Certified Balance Scorecard Coordinator. Mr. McNair has also studied different models for SME development in LAC, China, and India.
