Biography

Angus is Executive Chairman of Atlantean Ltd., a London-based company developing the A.I. enabled Azuros platform to support sustainable financing for island and coastal developing nations.  As an international blue economy expert, he served as the World Bank’s Ocean’s Representative and as the Blue Economy Director at the California-based Waitt Institute. There, he currently serves as Strategic Partnerships Director building partnerships with multilateral development banks and Impact Investors to support sovereign and private sector investments.  In his various roles he has also advised island governments in the Caribbean, the Pacific and the Indian Ocean on economic planning related to coastal and ocean resources which includes the tourism sector.  

In Grenada, he initiated and supported a consultative effort leading to the Blue Growth Master Plan that was adopted by the World Bank as its own publication.  Linked to this effort, he assisted Grenada in securing $30 million USD from the World Bank, as part of the ‘First Fiscal Resilience and Blue Growth Development Policy Credit’ in concessionary funding under IDA-18.  Having conceived the program, he helped Grenada’s and Jamaica’s Prime Ministers to launch the Caribbean Climate Smart Accelerator in collaboration with the Inter-American Development Bank, The World Bank, Virgin Unite and other international entities.  

A qualified medical doctor with an MBA, Angus served as chairman of Grenada’s Fiscal Responsibility Oversight Committee and represented Grenada internationally as its Ambassador to the United Nations, and to the United States and the OAS.  Angus is a board member of Republic Bank (Grenada), Glenelg Spring Water Inc., Sargas Ltd., and the Island Montessori School. In his spare time, he develops the Myristic Mountain Eco-Farm and is an avid reader, diver, cyclist, and oil-painter.  He lives in Fort Jeudy, Grenada, with his wife, Lotten, a hotelier and active contributor to Grenada’s tourism product, and their three daughters.
