Biography

Hayden Billingy is an Environmental Consultant from St. Vincent and the Grenadines, who holds a BSc. in Forest Engineering and MSc. in Natural Resource and Environmental Management with a specialization in Applied Meteorology. He also received training from Florida International University in Disaster Risk Reduction and Climate Change Adaptation and the United Nations University in Climate Change Diplomacy.

Hayden has worked for multiple international multilateral and academic Organizations such as the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), United Nations Environmental Programme (UNEP), the International Union for the Conservation of Nature (IUCN), the Pan American Development Foundation (PADF) and the McMaster University. He is currently the National Project Coordinator for the Climate Change Adaptation for the Eastern Caribbean Fisheries Sector Project (CC4FISH) with the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) of the United Nations.

Hayden is also an award-winning songwriter and International Recording Artiste, Producer, Author, Actor, Philanthropist, Entrepreneur who takes art to heart. An ardent lover of nature and people, his work centers around building local communities, empowering them to become environmental stewards. Building their capacities to improve their local livelihoods, while strengthening community’s resilience to the impact of climate change and thereby setting the building blocks for sustainable development.

His life’s mantra is “All things are possible once you work hard enough and never limit yourself because of your origins”. As a born-again believer, he attributes his success to Jesus Christ and believes that you are greater than your fears and as great as your dreams.
