Biography

Kirpa, a dedicated environmentalist and advocate for sustainability, serves as a Co-Chair of the Volunteerism Committee and an Executive Committee member on the Women in Cleantech & Sustainability (WCS) Board of Directors. With a profound passion for safeguarding vital ecosystems and driving global change, she brings a wealth of expertise as an environmentalist, climate scientist, humanitarian, consultant, and speaker.

Originally from California’s Bay Area, Kirpa holds an undergraduate degree in Environmental Studies from the University of California Santa Cruz and an M.Sc. in Hydrology & Water Security from the University of Oklahoma. For the past four years, she has resided in Grenada, where she has been actively involved in sustainable natural resource management, conservation efforts, and combatting microplastic pollution through innovative cleantech and economic development initiatives.

After relocating to New York City, Kirpa continued her mission to drive positive environmental impact. She leads fundraising and finance efforts at MOBY, a social enterprise, and serves as a Youth Ocean Leader with the Sustainable Ocean Alliance (SOA) and a Hero Guide with Viridescent.

Kirpa strives to bridge the gap between people and the environment through her diverse background and unwavering commitment to sustainability, fostering meaningful connections and inspiring collective action towards a more sustainable future.
