Orlando Anthony Kijana Romain is an entrepreneur and accomplished creative professional, originally from the Caribbean island of Grenada. His unwavering dedication to the creative industry was the driving force behind the establishment of several successful businesses, which not only bring significant value to Grenada but also create employment opportunities for talented individuals within the creative sector.

Orlando’s educational journey commenced at the Alpha Junior School, where he developed an early passion for transforming his dreams into reality. This determination carried him through his formative years, leading him to Grenada Boys’ Secondary School and later to T.A. Marryshow
Community College. His pursuit of knowledge eventually culminated at St. George’s University where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Management Information Systems in 2009.

Upon graduating, Orlando embarked on a career that would combine his technological acumen with his passion for marketing. He joined the Grenada Tourism Authority as the E-Business Manager, where he played a pivotal role in spearheading and executing numerous groundbreaking digital marketing campaigns. His efforts resulted in the organization being honored with the prestigious “Best Caribbean Destination Website” award by the Caribbean Hotel and Tourism Association in 2010. During his five-year tenure, Orlando’s department gained recognition for being a digital thought leaders and adept content developers in the Caribbean tourism sector.

In pursuit of his entrepreneurial aspirations, Orlando ventured into his first business endeavor, establishing Lever E Solutions, a digital marketing company specializing in web and mobile application development. His entrepreneurial spirit soared to new heights in 2016 with the inception
of Hexive Creative Agency. Hexive quickly evolved to become Grenada’s premier full-service creative agency, renowned for its dynamic creative and technological team, strategic approach, and the delivery of high-quality creative solutions. Hexive’s exceptional achievements have not gone
unnoticed. The agency proudly received the Nicholas Earle Brathwaite Award for ‘Excellence in Application of Digital Technology’ in consecutive years, 2016 and 2017. Moreover, it claimed the titles of ‘Rising Star’ and ‘Small Business of the Year’ at the Annual Grenada Chamber of Industry and Commerce Business Awards in 2016 and 2017, respectively. Hexive’s commitment to excellence and its vision for success allowed the company to earn accolades not only from the local business community but also from major corporations across the Caribbean region.

Orlando Romain’s true fulfillment lies in providing employment opportunities for young talent and fostering stronger regional synergies within the creative sector. His extensive expertise in web development, photography, creative direction, and digital marketing has led to invitations for board positions and guest lectures at universities and community colleges. He is also dedicated to one-on-one mentorship, guiding aspiring individuals to achieve their creative and entrepreneurial ambitions.

In 2021, Orlando Romain took a bold step into the realm of politics, driven by his unwavering commitment to effect positive change in Grenada. Remarkably, within a mere three months, he was elected as the Public Relations Officer (PRO) of the National Democratic Congress and played an instrumental role in guiding the party to a resounding victory in 2022, less than eight months after attaining the position of PRO.

Recognizing his exceptional abilities and contributions, the government of Grenada appointed Orlando as an ambassador and advisor, with the portfolio of Information Communication Technology (ICT) and the Creative Economy. In this role, Orlando has already achieved significant milestones, including the establishment of the Grenada Office of Creative Affairs, the launch of fiscal incentives and concessions for the creative sector, the establishment of a business development fund, and numerous capacity-building initiatives. Orlando is also accredited as a director by the Chartered Governance Institute of Canada and currently serves as a director on the Grenada Tourism Authority and the National Telecommunications Regulatory Commission.

Throughout his professional life, Orlando continued to make significant contributions to various community and social initiatives including the Nation Builder Grenada. In his spare time, he channels his innovative spirit into developing solutions for everyday problems. He also indulges in his favorite pastimes, which include diving, interior design, and visual storytelling.
